Course Content

Manicure & Pedicure
This course covers the knowledge and understanding required to provide a correct manicure and pedicure treatment including a relaxing hand, arm, foot and leg massage and how to provide a nail enamel application and French polish.

Facial Massage & Skin Care
This course covers the knowledge and understanding required to assess, prepare and treat a client’s skin condition. Including how to cleanse, prepare and massage the client’s face, neck and shoulders and apply and remove face masks using specialist facial products.

Waxing
This course covers the knowledge and understanding required to remove unwanted hair using waxing techniques, including how to assess, prepare and treat the client. You will be taught using warm wax. This wax is a superior product which permits fast, effective and almost painless removal of all superfluous hair. This is brought about by its unique adhesion properties which enable it to adhere strongly to the hair and not the skin. The course covers all areas of the face and body waxing and you will also learn about other alternative methods of hair removal.

This course is designed to compliment the facial massage and skin care. Eyelash and eyebrow treatments have always been popular service in the salon in that they greatly enhance a client’s appearance and confidence. The course will train you in the techniques required to offer professional and safe eyebrow shaping, eyelash and eyebrow tinting.

Make Up
There are many occasion for which a professional make-up service is required. This course covers the knowledge and understanding required to provide basic make-up services covering a range of skin types, conditions and tones for day, evening, photographic and special occasions. You will be taught how to adapt the application of make-up for mature and coloured skin types and using basic principles of colour analysis select make-up that will compliment the client’s natural colouring.

Entry Requirement -
To be educated to GCSE Level.

Examination System -
Continual assessments takes place during the course. On completion of the course a final practical and written test is completed to assess knowledge gained during the course.
